People love superhero stories, and every superhero has an antagonist. Superman had Lex Luthor. Batman had the Joker. Spider-Man had the Green Goblin. And what makes those stories powerful isn’t just the hero’s abilities—it’s the presence of an adversary who brings those abilities to the surface. Without the antagonist, the hero’s courage, creativity, and character would never fully develop.
