Decelerate

Last week, in the book of Philippians, Paul encouraged the church at Philippi to be united in their thoughts and love and to be in harmony with each other. He emphasized the importance of humility as a key characteristic of discipline. When Paul says "Let this mind be in you that is also in Christ Jesus," he is referring to a Savior who was willing to empty himself and take on human form for our benefit, which is the ultimate expression of humility. As Paul mentioned, we should not do anything out of selfish ambition.

In my opinion, it is essential to discuss specific aspects of the life of Jesus Christ every year as we strive to imitate and follow Him. Last year, our bible class series looked at how Jesus used informal settings to bring people closer to Him and God. This month, we will focus on Jesus Christ's disciplines and how we can adopt them for our own lives.
